We are a small family owned Real Estate Company in business since 1989. During our career, we have developed, renovated, and managed many residential rental properties. We have lived and operated near the Hocking Hills region for some time and feel the beauty and peace this region has to offer provides an excellent opportunity for our Company to lend our expertise towards our newest venture in residential real estate – Burtonwood Lodging Co.
Our mission is to provide the opportunity for our guests to gather with friends and family to enjoy the beauty and wonders of nature with all the comforts of home and to eliminate the stress of everyday life for awhile.
We dedicate this venture to our Parents and Grandparents. An American GI met his English bride while stationed at Burtonwood Air Force Base outside of Warrington, England during the early 1950s. After many years of military life on the road they settled on the family farm in Perry County, Ohio.
Meet Our Team
We had the entire family, 13 of us, for the weekend at Hidden Valley. The cabins and property are as beautiful as the photos on the website. My daughter in law said we were not camping, we were "glamping", for sure! The 5 little grandsons loved the gameroom loft. We brought food for the weekend and prepared all the meals in the full kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub and the campfire! We all had a wonderful and memorable experience!
We wanted a place to spend Thanksgiving weekend with our young adult children. We found the perfect place! The cabin was very clean and had many special touches. It was comfortable and very cozy for us to kick back and relax. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, making an outdoor fire, hiking at nearby Conkle's Hollow, and playing games with the gas fireplace burning in the background. The large screen tv was perfect to cheer on our favorite football team. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our own meals. I would definitely recommend Two Trees Cabin for an escape from the daily grind.
My wife and I started this Canoe Trip weekend 17 years ago. We have been staying in cabins for the last 8 years and every year something was missing. Either the layout was not quite right, or there was not enough seating area or not enough sleeping areas. So every year we would search for a new cabin. Well that is until now... Wildcat Lodge was AMAZING! There as 18 of us and not once did you have to wait to use a bathroom because there was plenty of them. Weather did not matter because there was a huge covered porch to sit on and not get wet. Last couple of nights the temperatures were cool so we had a fire going in the outdoor fire place one night and in the backyard firepit the other. It was so much fun. Out of 18 people that stayed there not a single person had a complaint. We had everything we needed. Thank you all so much for providing us with a wonderful lodge to spend few days hanging out with friends. We look forward to staying with you again!
Stop looking.. this is the place! There seriously is not a single negative comment. This cabin is immaculate. The layout is so darn smart. My OU roomie weekend was a hit. Loved the house!! We will be back!! And I'm currently trying to find your upstairs comforters to buy for my house because they were made in Heaven!
This is the fourth time we have stayed at Wildcat Lodge and up to eleven women can not say enough good things about the whole company. We love the size of it. To accommodate 11 people and to do it in comfort and luxury...quite a task and Burtonwood Lodging does it with style and ease!! Spotlessly clean and everything in excellent working order. Anything we asked for was delivered fast and efficiently. They have gone over and above for us each year. The website is great with lots of information. Any questions we had were easily answered by phone or email. The best part of the house...ALL OF IT! We love the covered deck, it allows for outside use even in inclimate weather the outdoor fireplace is so so great!! The kitchen and dining room are spacious and wonderful. We have found the lodge we love and will continue to come back. I have personally recommended Wildcat Lodge to other groups. This is the gem of Hocking Hills. We have stayed other places over the last 10 years as a group and we will look no further! Keep up the excellent customer service Burtonwood Lodging...We will see you next year !!!
This is truly the nicest place I have ever stayed. The lodge was meticulously clean. The supplied amenities were outstanding and of better quality then any place I have ever rented. My family couldn't stop talking about how wonderful and comfortable the place was. There was so much room for everyone. Even though it rained most of our weekend there was so much to do within the lodge and under the covered decks we didn't feel like we missed out on anything. The walk through was very helpful and a personal touch to check in. I would highly recommend anyone to rent this lodge and have already told many of my friends. My family is already talking about planning a visit for next year.
We are avid cabin-go'ers and have been across the U.S. in cabins - in the rockie's, slade KY, and in the middle of no where and have genuinely loved the Burtonwood Lodging company cabins and lodge more than any other cabin or lodges that we have stayed at. The quality, cleanliness, expectations of respect, entertainment and privacy are top notch. They take care of their properties and expect that you do, too. They pay attention to detail to make sure the experience is great. Like the outdoor wood burning fireplace actually keeps you warm on a brisk day and the wood is available. Everything is labeled so you don't have to guess what switch goes to what. They are clean. Clean! The cabins feel solid and there are games and entertainment that last the entire stay. You don't get bored. On top of it, there are little waterfalls on this and the lodge's property that are so beautiful and easy to access even to the people who are not avid hikers. If you want a great experience that is romantic or just a family get away, this is te place! One warning.... You will go back, and you will compare everything else to them.
The cabin and amenities were fantastic. Nic met us at the cabin the day we arrived to show us around and how to use things. The cabin was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and had a kitchen with all the kitchen gadgets you could need! The day before our departure from the cabin we had lots of snow and the day we went to leave Nic showed up to plow the drive for us so we could get out with ease. I highly reccomend using this company, great customer service. We will be back for another trip!
This was our third Super Bowl weekend at Wildcat Lodge and we plan on returning for a fourth next year. As always, the cabin was very clean and the furnishings are excellent...nothing was missing. Nic and the rest of the Burtonwood team are top notch and easy to work with. Our favorite place to hang out is the outdoor fireplace. Take care and see you next year.
I visited HiddenValley this past weekend March 22nd- March 24th. All together there was 12 of us for my father in laws 66th birthday. It surpassed our expectations for sure. My dad had no idea where we were going. I'm happy to say the Cloud family has a new 2nd home. We are planning to go back in August! Nic was awesome kind and informative. He made our big family feel welcome. Couldn't have asked for a better cabin or weekend! We can't wait to come back! Highly recommended!!!!
We couldn't have imagined better accommodations for our family weekend getaway than Rock Hollow Cabin! Conveniently located to most Hocking Hills attractions, this cabin is as beautiful and spacious as it appears on the website. It was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and so well-organized! In fact, the entire experience with this company from initial inquiry, to booking, to planning our stay, to check-in and check-out was very efficient and organized. Top notch! If you're planning a visit to the Hocking Hills and need accommodations for a small group of people 10 or less, I would highly recommend Rock Hollow Cabin and Burtonwood Lodging Co.
This was the second time that we have stayed at the Wildcat, and this experience was just as amazing as the first, if not better because we were more familiar with the accommodations! My brother, sister in law, and two nephews were visiting from Texas, and they were all blown away by the cabin's luxury and the beautiful scenery all around us. Our group of eleven had a wonderfully memorable time, and the experience couldn't have been any better!
We had an incredible time at Rock Hollow Cabin. Burntwood Lodging is first class operation from start to finish. Rock Hollow was in the center of it all with easy access to all major trails and amenities. Many thanks to Nic and the entire staff. Will stay again!
We can not say enough about this beautiful lodge !! We have 8-11 people in our group The Dayton GalPals and we are repeat customers of Wildcat Lodge!! Burtonwood is very accommodating to us and treat us like family when we book and throughout our stay.The lodge itself is beautiful, warm, open, has all the amenities. The kitchen is spacious and super for large cooking projects. The privacy is wonderful and the property is gorgeous. Our favorite is the covered outdoor patio with the outdoor fireplace. We used it from 7 a.m to far into the nite!! As a repeat customer, they have responded to all of our questions and concerns in a very professional, timely manner. Hidden Valley was absolutely perfect for our little family trip! My husband and three girls had a great time! The property was so beautiful with the pond outside leading to our own little adventure forest to take the girls! The hot tub was in a great place as well as you could sit in the hot tub and look out at a wonderful landscape. The description of the cabin on our website was exactly how we found it! I have stayed in a few different vacation houses - this was the most organized in terms of their kitchen set-up. Everything was labeled, clean and in their perfect spot which made finding everything in the kitchen very easy. Very clean - from the outdoor patio set-up down to the floors throughout the entire house. I would definitely recommend this property and we very much intend to stay here again in the future! We were also very close to Cantwell Cliffs which was a perfect hike for our family.
This cabin was beautiful, well kept, well organized, and super clean! Our family and friends had an amazing time at the Winter Walk and enjoyed our time in the cabin. The game room was so fun and the kitchen was perfect for preparing meals. Loved the large table in the kitchen to gather for meals and play cards. The owners were amazing and made it clear they would be available to address any concerns. The property was beautiful as well. I am sure a stay at any of their cabins would be a good choice. How far are your cabins from the State Parks and Other Area Attractions?
All our cabins are centrally and conveniently located in the heart of Hocking Hills. Hocking Hills is a very large area and many attractions are spread out. Depending on where you want to go, all major State Parks, as well as, restaurants, adventure sports, grocery stores, etc… are within an approximate 15 minute drive from your cabin.
What is the minimum age requirement to rent?
Most of our cabins require the responsible party (renter) to be a minimum of 25 years of age, whilst some of our cabins require a minimum of 30 years of age or older. Please note that the responsible party must provide their driver’s license and credit card at the time of check-in.
What time is check-in and check-out?
All cabins are guaranteed to be ready at 4:30 p.m. on the scheduled day of your arrival. You will receive a “pre-arrival” email regarding check-in procedures 1-2 days prior to your scheduled arrival date; however, currently all check-ins occur directly at the cabin or lodge you reserve.
Check-out time is strictly at 10:30 a.m. unless prior approval is granted in writing.
Do you allow pets?
Sorry, NO pets are allowed at any of our properties. We want everyone to be able to enjoy our cabins, including those who may be sensitive or susceptible to pet allergies. Our cabins are inspected thoroughly prior to and after each reservation. Any evidence of a Pet would incur a minimum $250 charge, plus any expenses incurred to restore the premises back to its original condition.
Do you allow smoking?
All cabins are smoke-free. No smoking is permitted inside of any cabin. Please respect your surroundings and do not litter or throw cigarette butts on the ground. If it is determined that smoking has occurred inside of a cabin, there will be a $250 charge + damages – no exception.
What is your cancellation policy?

- Cancellations more than 30 days (60 days for Wildcat Lodge & Mount Olive) in advance of your scheduled arrival will receive a full refund less a $150 processing fee.
- Cancellations within 30 days (60 days for Wildcat Lodge or Mount Olive) of your scheduled arrival will receive no refund unless a new reservation takes the place of the cancelled dates. Any refund received will be equal to the new rental secured or a full refund, whichever is less, plus a $150 processing fee.
- No refunds or credits for late arrivals or early departures.
- No cancellations or refunds due to inclement weather.
- Any change(s) made to reservations (including dates) after processing is subject to the cancellation policy and/or a $50 processing fee will be charged.
- No refund will be given for all or part of your party not showing up for your reservation.
Do you require a security deposit?
On the scheduled day of your arrival a $500 ($1,000 for Wildcat Lodge & Mount Olive) authorization “hold” will be placed against the Renter’s credit card on file. A receipt is emailed for this transaction. The authorization “hold” will be released within 3 days of departure after our staff has a chance to verify the condition of the property.
What are your payment/deposit requirements?

- Any reservation made 31 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival requires 50% of the total charge be paid at the time of reservation. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to your credit card in full 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival (60 days for Wildcat Lodge & Mount Olive).
- Any reservation made within 30 days of your scheduled arrival (60 days for Wildcat Lodge & Mount Olive) requires 100% of the total charge be applied to your credit card at the time of reservation.
- For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover credit cards only.
- We do not accept American Express or personal checks.
- Certified checks and/or money orders will be accepted if reservation is made more than 30 days (60 days for Wildcat Lodge & Mount Olive) in advance of scheduled arrival date; however, a credit card must be provided for security deposit. (Please call for arrangements).
- Please note: The responsible person making the reservation must provide the credit card used, as well as, driver’s license at the time of check-in.
